Stephen P. Holifield, DDS

Dr. Steve HolifieldDr. Stephen Holifield has been practicing dentistry for over 35 years. He received his undergraduate degree in Biophysics and Medical Physics from UC Berkeley. He attended The UCLA School of Dentistry and graduated in 1984. After practicing general dentistry in Sacramento for 11 years, Dr. Holifield returned to school and completed his specialty training in endodontics at Tufts University in Boston. While in Boston, he was on the faculty at Tufts University as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Endodontics.

Dr. Holifield is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and has been active with his local dental society. He is a past president of the Northern California Academy of Endodontics.

Dr. Holifield and his wife, Terri, are both native Californians and grew up in Sacramento. After several moves in and out of the State they are very happy to have settled back into Northern California where their three adult children and extended family also live.

When not in the office Dr. Holifield enjoys nothing more than spending time with family and friends at home, or traveling the US and abroad. Other favorite pastimes are tinkering with cars and other mechanical things, flying airplanes, skiing and challenging high country hikes.

In addition to treating human patients, Dr. Holifield and his staff have also been part of a team that provides specialized dental care to animals at the San Francisco Zoo.
